Virtual Auditions Announced for Casting of 2021 Medora Musical

Virtual auditions now open for the 56th edition of the Medora Musical.

(Medora, ND) StageWest Entertainment Inc. in conjunction with the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation, is pleased to announce virtual auditions for the 2021 Season of the Medora Musical  which has now entertained over four million people since its first showing in 1965.

“The Medora Musical is a North Dakota family tradition – a really desirable contract for performers,” says Justin Fisk, TRMF Marketing & Communications Director, “Performing all summer long, in this outdoor, nearly 3,000-seat Amphitheatre, with a Badlands sunset as your backdrop – it’s an experience people from all over love, and performers from across the country want on their resume.”

Auditions, typically held across the nation in North Dakota, Minnesota, Tennessee, New York, and Florida to search for top-level talent, will still go on. This year though, interested singers with dancing ability and prospective band members can email their auditions to the production company.

“We hope opening auditions virtually will allow for more talent from the region and beyond to audition than ever before,” says Curt Wollan, Medora Musical Producer.

Virtual audition materials should include a performing resume, current 8×10 headshot, and a Youtube or Vimeo link to a performance of two country songs, an up-tempo and a ballad, 16 bars of each is preferred.

The Medora Musical opens June 9th with rehearsals beginning May 12th. The show will run through September 11th, 2021. Performers are paid a weekly salary, as well as room and board. Transportation is also provided.
