Medora Musical sees over 124,000 and Bully Pulpit en route to 19,000
(Medora, ND) – The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) announced today the final, record-setting numbers for this year’s 50th Anniversary Season of the Medora Musical – and that Bully Pulpit Golf Course is on pace to set a record of its own, as well.
At the close of this year’s finale, the 2015 Medora Musical had set a new, all-time record for attendance, with 124,074 audience members taking in this summer’s 100-show season. This year’s record-setting attendance number surpassed 2014 – a year that took Musical attendance over 100,000 for the first time in eight years – by over 20,000 attendees.

Dickinson, Fargo, and Grand Forks Performers Join Professional Cast from Across Nation
The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation, in conjunction with StageWest Entertainment, is excited to announce the cast of the 50th Anniversary Season of the Medora Musical. After the conclusion of thousands of auditions in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Tennessee, 12 Burning Hills Singers and two hosts have been selected for this year’s landmark performance.
The “Queen of the West,” Emily Walter, will join “Wild West Prestidigitator,”Bill Sorensen, as co-hosts of this year’s show. Walter enjoyed several seasons as a Burning Hills Singer in the mid-90’s before traveling the world as a professional entertainer. She began hosting the Medora Musical in 2010 and this year will use her powerful voice to lead the cast as they celebrate the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt and the old west.
Meanwhile, the on-stage antics of Bill Sorensen will add a touch of magic and humor to the storyline – while he ever so slightly pesters his fellow cast members, to the delight of the crowd.

Tee Time Reservations Now Open for Prestigious Course in the Heart of the Badlands
(Medora, ND) – Bully Pulpit Golf Course, set in the rugged North Dakota Badlands, is officially set to open for play next week, beginning on Wednesday, April 8, weather permitting. Tee times for the entire golfing season are now available for individual and group play.
A relatively mild winter and a string of above average temperatures meant that grounds crews had excellent time to get the course in playing condition, allowing Bully Pulpit to open sooner than previous years.
Early season rates, which start at just $49 and continue until May 1, also provide players with the best value of the year.

(MEDORA, ND) – The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be hosting Karen Bakke, of Fargo, ND, as Artist in Residence August 6 through August 12.
Studio-style painting demonstrations, a gallery exhibit, and one and two-day painting workshops will be available for visitors and members of the public throughout the week. Bakke’s Medora studio will be located at the End of the Trail building in downtown Medora.
Bakke has worked as a professional artist for over 38 years and comments,
“Art is my passion and profession. Working as a muralist, fine artist and graphic designer since 1976, I’ve just been living the dream. And to do it in Medora — I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful setting for artistic inspiration.”
The “Painting the Badlands” workshops will be held Wednesday and Thursday, August 6 and 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the End of Trail studio. This in-depth painting workshop (participation limited to 10-12 people) is designed to stimulate participants’ creative thinking and problem solving. One day workshops cost $100. Two-day workshops cost $175.
