Two Brand-New Shows and a Revised Favorite Come to Medora this Summer
(Medora, ND) — The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) is pleased to announce that two brand-new shows and a fan-favorite reprisal will play in downtown Medora all summer long, accompanying the 2016 Medora Musical, which opens on June 3.
All-new in Medora, Jared Mason: LIVE! and The Medora Gospel Brunch bring the very best of the Medora Musical into their own exciting, family-friendly shows this summer. The fan-favorite, TR Salute to Medora featuring Joe Wiegand, has been revamped to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of our National Park System, and the impact our North Dakota Badlands had on Theodore Roosevelt.
Jared Mason: LIVE! | Weekdays starting June 10
Former Burning Hills Singer and star of Tony Award-winning musical, Million Dollar Quartet, Jared Mason will put on a summer full of solo concerts featuring a mix of original music, some Jerry Lee Lewis favorites, a classic yodel, and a reprisal of two songs from his days in the Medora Musical.
TRMF marketing and communications director, Justin Fisk says, “Jared is one of those amazing talents that often times you only get to see in the big city lights of Broadway, or on a national tour, but this summer, he’s right here in Medora.”
Performances are Tuesday through Sunday at 1:00 pm MDT at the Old Town Hall Theater.
The Medora Gospel Brunch | Saturdays and Sundays starting on June 18
The producers of the Medora Musical and the Church Basement Ladies are behind this brand-new brunch and gospel music celebration in Medora. Guests will be treated to traditional brunch fare, then enjoy a toe-tappin’ gospel show not only on-stage, but right in the crowd too.
Fisk says, “It’s not church, but a celebration of some of the best gospel music you’ve ever heard. The all-star cast will be a mix of Burning Hills Singers, a surprise guest performer or two, and it’ll all be hosted by the amazing Emily Walter.”
The Medora Gospel Brunch shows once on Saturday at 10 am MDT and twice on Sunday at 9:30 am & 12:00 pm MDT at the Chuckwagon Buffet.
A TR Salute to Medora | Weekdays starting July 12
World-renowned Theodore Roosevelt repriser, Joe Wiegand, will return to Medora with brand-new material added to a show that takes you through the exciting life of Theodore Roosevelt. This year’s TR Salute to Medora will prominently feature stories of TR’s involvement with the National Park System during this year’s centennial celebration.
