Joey O

An acrobat with masterful motor skills and an entertainer with motivating words of encouragement, Joey O. will amaze and inspire audiences young and old. For more than two decades, this motor-skill genius has made people smile and laugh worldwide, he’s performed with Bob Hope at the Bob Hope Classic, played at the Hawaiian Open and as far away as the Hiroshima Open in Japan, and he’s appeared with Tiger Woods on the Tonight Show. Rudi Macaggi “The Acromedia”
Nightly at the Medora Musical

Rudi Macaggi is a third-generation circus acrobat from Italy. He grew up performing with his family and traveling the world, becoming fluent in Italian, French, Spanish and English. He first came to the United States in 1982 while performing with a circus and eventually ran away from the circus to pursue a solo career that has taken a unique path, combining acrobatics with comedy, and earning him the nickname “The Acromedian.” Macaggi has appeared on the hit TV show America’s Got Talent and strives to bring happiness to people in each performance, inspiring laughter and smiles with his friendly catchphrase, “I like you.”

Medora to Deadwood Iron Horse Rally

The Medora to Deadwood Iron Horse Rally, held as a precursor to the famous Sturgis Rally,will feature live outdoor music on the Chuckwagon patio on Main Street. The free musical entertainment starts at noon and is open to the public. In addition, motorcycle ride maps for Theodore Roosevelt National Park’s scenic 36-mile paved driving loop and the immediate area will be available. In case of inclement weather, the music will be moved inside to the Chuckwagon.

Medora Fossil Dig

The public is invited to dig for fossils at a 60-million-year-old site in the Badlands near Medora, containing crocodile, champsosur (crocodile-like animal), turtle and fish fossils. The North Dakota Geological Survey and Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation co-sponsor this scientific, professionally conducted fossil excavation at the site. Advance registration is required. Open to anyone 12 years or older. Participants age 12-18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Register by contacting Becky at 1-800-MEDORA1.

Aloft

Nightly at the Medora Musical

Aloft is an internationally-renowned collective of aerial and circus artists dedicated to providing awe-inspiring and memorable performances. Founded by Shayna Swanson in 2005, with the acclaimed full length show “Rolling Backouts,” Aloft put an innovative spin on traditional circus acts, creating art that spilled over with beauty, wonder and solid storytelling. Since then Aloft has created three more full length productions, Dinner of Our Discontent, The Silentest Movie and Science of Heart. In 2008 Aloft began producing a monthly cabaret show, El Circo Cheapo Cabaret, which has sold out each performance over the last three years and gone on a highly successful nationwide tour. Aloft’s performers are highly trained, visionary professionals who leave spectators breathless, even as they inject a level of humanity into their performance that audiences can’t forget.

6th Annual Badlands Trail Run
