Joe Wiegand Joins The TRMF Team
Every summer since 2012, Joe Wiegand has performed as Theodore Roosevelt at Medora’s Old Town Hall Theater. Starting this fall, Joe joins the staff of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation as an Assistant to the President, Randy Hatzenbuhler.
Joe’s primary responsibilities will be fundraising for the TRMF. Joe will be headquartered in Medora, traveling throughout the Upper Midwest and venturing as far as Southern California, Arizona, and Florida in the winter, with the goal of growing philanthropic support for TRMF.
Joe’s professional background includes significant fundraising experience. If you’ve enjoyed Joe in his role as TR, you’ll understand that Joe is committed to excellence in the performance of his duties, and he’s as passionate about Medora as he is about Theodore Roosevelt himself.
“Joining an All-Star team at the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is an honor. Assisting President Randy Hatzenbuhler to accomplish all of the goals and aspirations of our members, staff, volunteers, and board members is just exactly the kind of thing of which TR was speaking when he reminded us that one of life’ s greatest rewards is ‘working hard at work worth doing,’” said Wiegand.
“We are so grateful to have had Joe as a part of our organization for the past eight years as the best TR reprisor in the world,” said Randy Hatzenbuhler, TRMF President. “He has brought many people to support Medora through his presentation and understanding of our 26th President, and that’s tremendous. We have found that one of the most important qualities of an effective fundraiser for TRMF is a genuine passion for this place and its history. Joe is absolutely full of passion for Medora and we are thrilled that he is now making Medora his home and joining our team full time.”
