First Ever Kids FREE Week in Medora June 28 – July 4

New Medora WISH Endowment building off of Harold Schafer’s dream to help more families enjoy the Badlands the way he and Theodore Roosevelt did.

(Medora, ND) – The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation alongside the generous “Wish Wranglers” of the Medora WISH Endowment, are delighted to announce the first ever Kids FREE Week for select attractions in Medora.

The first ever Kids FREE Week takes place Friday, June 28 through Thursday, July 4, which also happens to be the anniversary weekend of the Medora Musical and, of course, our Independence Day.

Free events for kids 17 and under during this special week include:

– FREE child/student tickets to the Medora Musical
– FREE child/student admission to A TR Salute to Medora
– FREE child/student admission to Todd Oliver and his Talking Dog Irving
– FREE child/student admission to Carl and Greta’s Cowboy Singalong
– FREE child/student admission to Bill Sorensen and Friends
– PLUS, every Sunday and Wednesday, kids 12 and under already eat free at the Pitchfork Steak Fondue*

As Harold Schafer once said, “I wish we could figure out a way to let people experience Medora for free!” The Medora WISH Endowment is creating more opportunities to do just that.

TRMF communications director, Justin Fisk, said, “This is another exciting example of how Harold Schafer has inspired others, the supporters of the Medora WISH Endowment in this case, to do something good for North Dakota. This new, kids free week will allow more families to be inspired by the Badlands the way Harold and Sheila were, and if the Medora Musical and the other downtown shows were completely filled with folks taking advantage of this opportunity, well, Harold would think that was just ‘wonderful!'”

Generous supporters of the Medora WISH Endowment enabled the fund, in its very first year, to provide nearly $20,000 of free kids activities — an amount that is hoped to grow each year. Donors of varying ranges have supported the fund including numerous $25,000 donors who become honorary “Wish Wranglers”, they include:

Medora Wish Wranglers:

Don & Pat Clement — Bismarck, ND — Co-creators and lead donors
