MEDORA, ND: The Theodore Roosevelt Nature and History Association and Theodore Roosevelt National Park invite the public to a special book reading and signing by renowned author Terry Tempest Williams on Sunday, July 24. Tempest Williams will read from her newest book, The Hour of Land. The reading will begin at 6:30 p.m. MDT in the park’s South Unit Visitor Center; a book signing will follow.

MEDORA, ND: Duane G. Jundt, lecturer in history at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, will present a special lecture, “Birdwatcher in Chief”: Theodore Roosevelt and America’s Birds, in Theodore Roosevelt National Park on Saturday, July 23.

Jundt will explore the crucial role birds and birding played in the life of and American president. The lecture will begin at 8:30 p.m. MDT in the Cottonwood Campground amphitheater in the park’s South Unit. READ MORE »

A TR Salute to Medora Returns and will show all summer long — third Annual Gathering of Theodore Roosevelt Re-enactors to be held in Medora, North Dakota on July 15, 16, and 17, 2016.

(Medora, ND) – Renowned Theodore Roosevelt Repriser, Joe Wiegand returns to Medora after traveling the country reprising Theodore Roosevelt in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Park System. His show, A Teddy Roosevelt Salute to Medora and the National Parks will run Tuesday – Sunday all summer long, at 3:30pm MDT at the Old Town Hall Theater.

Veterans Day in Medora

All Veterans and active duty service members are invited to a special day in Medora with their families as we honor their service to our Country.

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) will be hosting a series of special events in Medora Sunday, July 10 to honor our nation’s veterans. The annual Veterans Day Celebration salutes those who have served in the United States military.

The ceremonies will culminate with a flyover by three WWII fighter aircraft: a P-51 Mustang named “Boomer,” piloted by Fargo-based Toby McPherson, as well as a P-40 Warhawk and Navy Corsair (images below) from the world-famous Texas Flying Legends museum. Medora Announces Summer Concert Series, First-Ever ND Music Awards Festival

Five unique concerts to be held at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre, plus award-winners from the North Dakota Music Awards to perform downtown.

 

(Medora, ND) – The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) is excited to announce the full lineup for its 2016 Medora Summer Concert Series. Five individual acts and one festival make up this year’s summer concert lineup.

 

North Dakota Musica Awards Festival — LIVE in Medora
This year’s series of concerts begins on June 18th with the 2016 North Dakota Music Award Festival. Each winner from this year’s North Dakota Music Awards has been invited to play an afternoon-festival on two stages in downtown Medora. Audiences can expect music ranging from country and blues to rock and R&B. Like many festivals, guests are encouraged to bring  their own lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the festivities.

The North Dakota Music Awards Festival is FREE, in downtown Medora.
