For the past 51 years, the Medora Musical as we know it today has been entertaining audiences from across the country. The musical has come a long way since the original Old Four-Eyes show at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre in 1958 and the production of Teddy Roosevelt Rides Again – A Medora Musical in 1965. All Veterans and active duty service members are invited to a special day in Medora with their families as we honor their service to our Country.
The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) will be hosting a series of special events in Medora Sunday, July 10 to honor our nation’s veterans. The annual Veterans Day Celebration salutes those who have served in the United States military.
The ceremonies will culminate with a flyover by three WWII fighter aircraft: a P-51 Mustang named “Boomer,” piloted by Fargo-based Toby McPherson, as well as a P-40 Warhawk and Navy Corsair (images below) from the world-famous Texas Flying Legends museum. Two Brand-New Shows and a Revised Favorite Come to Medora this Summer

All-new in Medora, Jared Mason: LIVE! and The Medora Gospel Brunch bring the very best of the Medora Musical into their own exciting, family-friendly shows this summer. The fan-favorite, TR Salute to Medora featuring Joe Wiegand, has been revamped to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of our National Park System, and the impact our North Dakota Badlands had on Theodore Roosevelt. (Medora, ND) – The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation, in conjunction with StageWest Entertainment, is pleased to announce that auditions for the 2016 Season of the Medora Musical are set to begin this weekend for performers interested in trying out for the Burning Hills Singers and Coal Diggers Band.
Auditions this weekend are:
- Saturday, January 30, Bismarck, North Dakota, 10am, at the Lynne Center at Good Shepard Lutheran Church.
- Sunday, January 31, Moorhead, Minnesota, 1pm, at the Howard Rehearsal Hall within the Hvidsten Hall of Music at Concordia College.
