Medora, N.D. – Bully Pulpit Golf Course, located three miles south of Medora, will re-open Monday, June 13, with nine holes available for play.
Bully Pulpit was impacted by the late spring flooding along the Little Missouri River, and the maintenance staff has been working diligently to get the course back in shape.
Dave Solga, Bully Pulpit’s director of golf, says the nine holes open for play look great and still offer an enjoyable, scenic golf game. “Golfers can be assured that they will have a unique Badlands golfing experience with the nine holes currently open. In fact, Bully Pulpit’s signature holes – numbers 14, 15 and 16 are included in the holes available for play. So, golfers can anticipate experiencing a top-notch, challenging game Bully Pulpit is nationally known to provide.”
The holes open are: 1, 2,4,5,8,9,14.15 and 16. Bully Pulpit’s maintenance crew continues to clean and conduct maintenance work on the remaining nine holes, and once suitable for play, they will open.
The driving range, which was untouched by the flooding, has been open all along.
“We appreciate the great response we received from our staff at Bully Pulpit and the community at large. We’ve had help from businesses who donated machinery to help us get the course back into prime shape, and thank you to those golfers who’ve been patiently waiting to play Bully Pulpit,” says Randy Hatzenbuhler, president of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation, which owns Bully Pulpit Golf Course. “Because of everyone’s help and support, this year’s golf season will be fantastic.”
Golfers can book their tee time by calling 800-633-6721. Walk-ons also are available and welcome.
